In my self-publishing consult, I will give you an overview of self-publishing, answer your questions, help you decide if self-publishing is for you, and get you set up with an action plan to successfully, professionally self-publish. To schedule an appointment, click the button above, choose a time, and complete the questionnaire. Please allow a few minutes to answer the questions, as they help me prepare better for the video call. Once I approve the appointment, you will get a Zoom meeting link. TidyCal (my calendar app) will send you a meeting reminder a day before the meeting and an hour before.

During the meeting, we will discuss the basics of self-publishing or I will seek to answer your questions. Afterward, I will send notes, the action plan, and a code for a free copy of my ebook Pen to Print: A Beginner’s Guide to Self-Publishing, which has a wealth of knowledge and resources.

Fine print: I have the right to refuse to take a consult for any reason.

You agree that if you fail to show up on time (I am on Central Time) or cancel with less than 24 hours notice, you will not get a refund.

You are responsible for having adequate internet connectivity. You will not get a refund if the meeting is unable to occur because of internet or technical failure, or distraction, on your end. If that occurs on my end, I will reschedule.

You must cancel 72 hours or more in advance of the meeting to get a full refund. A cancelation of less than 72 hours’ notice but more than 24 hours may result in a 50% refund, as I may have already devoted time to preparing for the meeting.

If you need to reschedule, you must do so with at least 48 hours’ notice. You may reschedule only twice. After that, you will be considered a no-show and will not get a refund.

If you wish to extend the video call beyond one hour, an additional fee at an hourly rate of $30/hour will be due upon completion of the call.

If you would like to work with me for additional tasks, such as formatting or searching for editors and cover designers, we can discuss a separate agreement for Author Assistant to be billed at an hourly rate of $30/ hour.

We are both expected to behave in a professional manner. No crude, obscene, or profane language is allowed.

You also acknowledge that I am not a publisher, lawyer, or accountant. I am not giving legal or tax advice. I do my best to provide accurate information, but I cannot guarantee a seamless release or best-seller launch. I will not act as a publisher for anyone’s books. I hope to help people learn to handle the process themselves. I might act as as an assistant in the process for a fee, but I will not act as a publisher.
