Biography

E.J. Kitchens loves tales of romance, adventure, and happily-ever-afters and strives to write such tales herself. When she’s not thinking about dashing heroes or how awesome bacteria are—she is a microbiologist after all—she’s enjoying the beautiful outdoors or talking about classic books and black-and-white movies. She currently has seven published novels and many short works, all adventure-romance stories set in fantasy worlds, with many more begging to be written. She is a member of Realm Makers and lives in Alabama.

Awards and Accolades

E.J. Kitchens has had four of her books chosen as Book of the Month for the Fellowship of Fantasy Indie Book Club (a Facebook group): The Rose and the Wand, To Catch a Magic Thief, Midnight for a Curse, and Wrought of Silver and Ravens. Midnight for a Curse was a runner-up for the club’s 2021 Book of the Year and Wrought of Silver and Ravens was Book of the Year in 2022.

Wrought of Silver and Ravens (Of Mage Made, #1) was the March 2022 featured book in Phoenix Crate‘s subscription book box, themed Dangerous Magic. It was also selected and approved as a Briarwood Christian School (Birmingham, AL) summer reading option for 2022. Wrought of Serpent and Snow (Of Magic Made, #2) was a Realm Makers Readers Choice Award Semi-finalist 2022 (https://www.realmmakers.com/2022/04/27/congratulations-to-our-readers-choice-semifinalists/).
